Soleirolia soleirolii, commonly known as baby’s tears, angel’s tears, mind-your-own-business, or Irish moss, is a low-growing, creeping perennial plant in the nettle family (Urticaceae). It is native to the Mediterranean region, particularly Italy and surrounding areas.

Characteristics

• Growth Habit: Forms a dense, mat-like ground cover with small, round, bright green leaves.
• Height & Spread: Typically grows up to 5 cm (2 inches) tall but can spread widely as a ground cover.
• Foliage: Delicate, small, and vibrant green (some cultivars have golden or variegated foliage).
• Flowers: Tiny, pale pink or white flowers that are inconspicuous.
• Roots: Spreads via creeping stems that root at nodes, making it an excellent ground cover.
