Viburnum odoratissimum ‘Dense Fence’ is a cultivar of the species Viburnum odoratissimum, commonly known as Sweet Viburnum. The ‘Dense Fence’ variety is a particularly popular selection due to its compact, dense growth habit, making it an excellent choice for privacy screens, hedges, or as a formal landscaping element.

  • Growth Habit: This variety has a dense, bushy, upright growth habit, typically reaching a height of 6-10 feet (1.8-3 meters) with a similar width, making it ideal for privacy screening or as a hedge.

Climate & Growing Conditions:

  1. Sunlight: Thrives in full sun to partial shade. However, it does best with at least 4–6 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal growth and flowering.
  2. Soil: Prefers well-draining, slightly acidic to neutral soil but is adaptable to a variety of soil types.
